Hit the green from the fairway bunker-just four simple moves:
1. Pay attention to "L"
A bad strategy is destined to fail the bunker. The first thing you have to do: check the ball position (Lie). If it's bad, don't go straight to the green, but hit the ball back to the fairway with a critical hit. But if the ball position is good, your next checkpoint is the bunker lip (Lip)-consider the longest club with a sufficient loft angle to allow the ball to cross the lip. Next, simply draw the stroke distance (Length) to reach or as close to the green as possible.
2. Adjust the preparation position
To ensure a clean touch of the ball, make several 2 inch adjustments: move the grip 2 inches down, the ball position is 2 inches behind the usual (need to consider the club used), and at the same time the left foot leaves the target line and then withdraws 2 inches.
3. Follow the nose
Place 60% of the center of gravity on the front foot and stay there during the swing. Keep your legs still. If the nose translates slightly ahead of the ball when approaching the apex of the upper pole, the action is correct.
4. Swing to hit the ball
The static legs ensure that you touch the ball first and then the sand. The key is to turn the upper body around the fixed legs. If the center of gravity remains on your left foot, you will make a perfect shot-the next thing you will use is the putter.
